Reflecting on my blog.
Early in the year, I learned the importance of making sure to edit clips effectively. You can see that in my first film the clips were cut, but you can see that a few of them were either cut too short or not cut early enough. On my second project, I learned how to properly edit the clips so they weren't cut off. With the help of my partner, the cuts were effective. Later in the year, not only did I perfect cutting clips, but i also got really good at ediding clips in the films that i produced. A good example of this was in the jabberwocky project, because all of the clips were cut well and the effects that were given to them worked effectively in getting the mood of the poem across. I feel that this was one of the very first times I learned how to properly use the effects with the clips without getting the feeling that something didn't look right or didnt feel the same mood as the background music or poem. This was one of the first times i felt really accomplished about what i did because i started to get a good feel for not just editing clips but also the pictures i used. Another good example of this is in my video for the water is wide story. This is probably the video i am most proud of because looking through all of my videos before this one, they were not as well edited as this one. In the water is wide video, i felt that the clips went along with the music and captured the mood. Also, that was the most effects put in a video than any of the other ones on my blog, and it also contained the most emotion and variation of clips. I am also very proud of the last video i made becasue that is also a very good example of showing all of the things i learned during this class.
