holiday project

What i felt that my partner and i did a good job on was working together to make our script flow. I felt that we made good transitions throughout our video and used our time wisely. I liked how our information flowed so none of the things we said weren't abrupt or random. I felt that the images we used went well with each of our topics. At the end we tried to find a background that we could both use so we used the snowy scenery. The editing is one thing i am particularly proud of because we had to make the conversation flow. The music was another aspect that i liked because both of the tracks we used were a little similar yet they fit both of our holidays. I felt that we could have done a better job on the credits only because i didnt think that they were done right. We used some creativity, but not so much because we didnt want to run out of time for editing our video.

In some of the other groups videos i saw that they used a lot of creativity and i felt that we could have used more than we did. there was one group in particular that used the split screen and i thought that was really good to use in the video. I thought that it added more to the video and it wasnt so standard.

To create my groups video, i put in a lot of my ideas and tried took my parnter's ideas into consideration too. I really liked the middle eastern music and thought it would go good in our video so i suggested that we should find a track that went good with both of our holidays.

I helped my partner by, again, giving him my ideas and helping him choose what looked right and what didnt in regards to editing our video. I also searched for the background and gave him input for his script and what would look good for his holiday. He helped me by showing me how i could edit things to make our video better.

If i could redo this project, i would have put in more some creativity and maybe add some stuff into our video such as the split screen.

5 Things I Learned

5 Things I learned and/or want to do in my next video are:

1. How to make music overlap clips.
2. How to add titles to name a person.
3. What I would like to try to do in my next video is to tie a story into what we are making a video on.
4. I learned how to make the music fade into a clip and to lower it so its playing but you can still hear the person in the interview speak.
5. In my next video I would like to have more of a variety of music playing through out my video.

Balerinterviews_Phelps_Perez.f4v

I think i am getting better at editing videos because now i actually know how to edit them and export them. I did a good job of fixing the videos where i felt they needed to be fixed. Im happy with the way that i and my partner made the video. I helped with the title and i thought it turned out good. If i could do this project over, i think i would make the video longer with adding more clips to it. On my next project i need to remember all of the steps of editing videos. On my next project, i would like to learn how to edit the video with some special effects. One way i helped my partner was with the editing. We combined our ideas. My partner helped me by giving me her thoughts on how this video should look. On this project i gained a better idea about how to put the clips together efficiently. What helped me figure this out was to move the clips around to see what looked good and what didnt. One challenge faced was moving the parts of the clips, then they would make the clip longer than we would have wanted it to be. We overcame this because we learned how to move them the right way.

perez

ive learned a lot while editing this video. i think it came out okay; at first it was a bit confusing but after a while i got the hang of it. ive always wondered how people edited their videos like i did, and now i know how. i liked how the inpoints and endpoints are almost right on target with when i stoped talking. i would like to learn more editing techniques.

my parner and i helped eachother a lot. what heloed me understand what i needed to know was watching other people's processes and seeing what they were doing. i didnt know what to upload to youtube at first and i kept uploading the whole file instead of the video. this problem was soon resolved.

Wet Cement - A Message From The Foundation For A Better Life

the message of this video is quite apparent; it shows us as the viewers how to have patience and to not sweat the small stuff all the time. in this video, the man was upset at first because the little boy messed up the wet cement. he realized that this can be easily fixed, so he wasnt so mad. the actions that communicated the message were that the man did not get mad and just fixed the cement. the filmmaker used the right angle of the camera and the right lighting to emphasize being outside.
